Welcome People...

Lets talk Love..Sex..and Relationships

Women Arent As Cool With One-Night Stands As Men

Lets start with one thing..Just like every study ever conducted, just because this doesnt apply to YOU doesnt mean it doesnt apply.

My Boyfriend Is Turned Off By My Hairy Legs.

Im 25 and have been dating a man who is 34 for the last 1.5 years. There is a lot to like about him he's smart, kind, caring, and dependable. He is almost the elusive alpha male nerd.

Am I Being Too Materialistic By Giving Up on a Financially Unstable Man?

I decided to get back into the dating world and I met this guy online four weeks ago. So its all still very early and very new. But a big worry for me is that is has absolutely no stability or consistency in his life.

When Do I Draw The Line When He Parties With the Boys?

My boyfriend loves partying weekends and some weeknights with his friends. We are in our late 20s and I party a bit too but dont consider it extremely important.

(Video) Andrea Syrtash’s TEDx Talk – How to Make Love Outside the Bedroom

Andrea Syrtash has been my friend for over 10 years. I met her when I was working for JDate and I was commissioned to create an online magazine to compete with Match.com’s Happen Magazine, where I was already freelancing. The magazine – still in existence – was called JMag. Problem was, JMag had no budget. So I had to convince a bunch of talented writers to work for free in exchange for “exposure.” Andrea was one of those writers. She has since blossomed into a well-known and respected TV host and author, with great titles like, “He’s Just Not Your Type (and That’s a Good Thing!) and “It’s Okay to Sleep with Him on the First Date – and Every Other Rule of Dating Debunked.”

The most important thing you can offer in a relationship is your presence.

You can see why I like her.

On a personal level, Andrea is happily married to a schoolteacher in Brooklyn and recently gave this TEDx Talk, which I’d like to share with you. If you’re pressed for time, cut to the five minute mark, where she shares some incredible insights on how to treat your partner as well as you treat your employees.

Highlights – All of which may sound familiar if you’ve been reading here for awhile. We relationship experts tend to agree on 95% of these ideas.

If you have to convince someone of your value, it’s time to move on.

You can’t have intimacy without vulnerability. People cannot connect with “perfect.” Acknowledge your mistakes and praise your partner.

People want to be challenged, but not changed. You can’t go into a relationship with a man, telling him he’s doing everything wrong (according to you).

We should all be “yes” men and women in relationships.

Money doesn’t make relationships. Quality time does.

Sweat the small stuff. Doing the little things to make your partner happy on a day to day basis, instead of relying on big, but rare gestures.

The most important thing you can offer in a relationship is your presence. Which is why successful people with important 60+ hr/week jobs with lots of travel aren’t better partners. Money doesn’t make relationships. Quality time does.

You need to be seen, heard and valued. Sounds a bit like my “safe, heard, and understood,” doesn’t it?

Your thoughts, below, are greatly appreciated.

What’s The Right Amount of Time to Be Available in The First Month of Meeting?

What’s The Right Amount of Time to Be Available in The First Month

I read your blog all the time and I know you previously addressed how some single women have lives that are too busy and need to make room for a guy but also that we should maintain full lives of our own. I’m struggling with that balance. Here is the pattern. I meet a guy and he is good, follows up but immediately wants to see me every weekend, every Saturday night and gets seemingly perturbed that I am not free. I am okay with one day on the weekend if I am in town and during the week but we just met! Many also want to see me far too much. I think part of it is the DC area because there are lots of transient people new to the area with no roots and lots of free time. What is the right amount of time, say, in the first month?

Thanks,
Lisa

Imagine a man wrote a very similar letter.

Don’t forget, the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.

Dear Evan,

I’m dating this new woman. She seems cool. Really interested in me. We’ve only been together for a month, but she is already suggesting that she’s not satisfied with how much we get together. I am okay with seeing her for one day over the weekend if I’m in town, but really, why are women so clingy? Am I wrong here?

Larry

My reply:

Yes, Larry, you’re wrong here. There is a normal escalation process for most folks when it comes to dating. If you like a woman, you prioritize her. Maybe not after the first date, but if you’re seeing a few women and you have a connection with one of them, it’s in your best interests to make her feel special. That would mean taking the time to call her after your work day, making plans at least a few days in advance, and leaving her at least one weekday date and weekend night (with a sleepover and breakfast the next day). This is how people date. They like each other. They get closer. They make more of an effort for each other.

You’re not obliged to do this for someone you don’t like, but believe me, if a woman has any common sense, if you’re not making more of an effort after a month, she’s going to leave you for another guy who does. And rightfully so. You may not be a bad guy for being this busy, but you will likely end up losing out on quality women who want a man who values them more.

Don’t forget, the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Only people with low self-esteem are going to stick around for a man who thinks so little of them as to find one night a week acceptable.

If a guy is into you and is making an effort for you, it’s in your best interests to show some reciprocal interest.

I know your question specifically was how much time you should allot to seeing a man in the first month, Lisa. There’s not one “right” answer. All I can say is that if a guy is into you and is making an effort for you, it’s in your best interests to show some reciprocal interest. If you don’t – if you think that keeping things slow and casual because you’re so busy is a great idea – that’s okay, but that will leave you with only one type of man: the kind who likes casual once-a-week relationships.

If I were you, and I wanted a boyfriend, I’d make myself a little more available to interested men, lest they start to lose interest after a few weeks of trying to chase you down.

Time’s Up. By the End Of the Day, You’ll Be Losing This…

Time’s Up. By the End Of the Day, You’ll Be Losing This--

I know something about you.

It may sound silly, since I don’t really “know” you, but from all my years of working with women, I’ve discovered some common traits among my readers.

Here’s one that really resonates. Let me know if you think I’m on the right track:

You are generous.

Maybe you’ve never labeled yourself that way before, but perhaps holding up a mirror to you would reveal that “generous” is, in fact, the best description of you.

Have you ever spent long nights on the phone counseling a dear friend?

Have you ever spent thousands of dollars on veterinarian bills for a sick pet?

Have you ever worked longer than expected because you took pride in your work and wanted to please your boss or client?

Have you ever given an expensive gift to your less fortunate sister or your self-sacrificing mother?

Have you ever rushed to the hospital to be by the side of someone you loved?

Have you ever devoted time or money to a charity that goes above and beyond what the average person donates?

Finally, have you ever given more to a relationship than the relationship has given back to you?

I’ll bet you have.

What we see here is not merely that you are generous in more ways one, but you are actually generous to a fault.

Now, to be fair, being generous is a good thing. Not only are you making an impact on the world around you, but you actually feel good when giving.

Think about the feeling you get after a Thanksgiving morning in a soup kitchen, or the sound of your niece’s squeals when she opens up her new bicycle.

One study concludes that donors feel happiest when giving fosters social connection – as opposed to making an anonymous donation.

Makes perfect sense.

We want to feel a connection with the people we’re giving to – which means we get a lot more pleasure giving gifts than we do writing a tax-deductible check to the Red Cross.

So, why am I bringing this up now, on the last day of this special Love U launch?

If anything, I wanted you to see something that I see in you:

You are so committed to giving to others that you may neglect your own needs.

You put yourself out for a friend, for a pet, for a loved one, but when do you get the opportunity to receive?

Not very often.

This is your chance.

I’m not telling you to suddenly cut off your monthly donation to ALS or RAINN.

I’m not telling you to return that iPad you bought for your Mom for her birthday.

I’m only telling you what you already know.

You need to be as generous with yourself as you are with others.

You’d do anything for someone you love. But you hesitate to do the easiest, smartest thing for your long-term happiness:

Enroll in Love U.

Understand, I’m not against you taking another solo trip to Bali or redecorating your bathroom, or splurging on a spa weekend with the girls.

I just have to remind you that happiness doesn’t come from material goods or evanescent pleasures.

It comes from deep, meaningful, human connection – and nothing is deeper, more meaningful and more fulfilling than a happy marriage.

This is one area in which no one else can save you.

Your best friend can’t help you understand men.

Your sister can’t teach you to date online.

Your mom can’t teach you to be confident wherever you go.

Your dog can’t outline the most important qualities to look for in a man.

It’s generous for you to take care of them, but who’s taking care of you – if not you?

After midnight tonight, you will no longer be able to get the following:

26 weeks of Love U videos.

26 weeks of Love U exercises.

26 weeks of Love U Inner Circle coaching calls .

26 weeks of support from hundreds of other women in the Love U Community who are also taking this exciting journey at the same time.

A copy of my bestselling book “Why He Disappeared.”

The extended payment plan, at 50% off the regular price, which lowers your monthly investment from $333 to $167.

Right now, this is all available to you.

Tomorrow, it’s not.

Thus, it’s really simple.

If you’re satisfied with your love life as it is right now and would be fine being in this exact same position next year, do nothing.

If you’re dissatisfied being alone and want the opportunity to experience unconditional love like so many of my other clients, click here.

Even if you didn’t take advantage of this special offer, I hope you took value out of the emails, the videos, and the dialogue. I hope you challenged yourself on what you can do differently, and on understanding how men really think.

No matter what, I remain committed to staying in touch with you and giving you as much valuable information as I can in my weekly newsletters, blog posts and podcasts.

Click here before 11:59pm tonight to register for Love U and join hundreds of other smart women who are also ready for love and making it happen now.

Give me 5 minutes a day and I will give you a husband.

Many thanks and warmest wishes,

Your friend,

Evan

P.S. April joined my group coaching program three years ago. Not long after, she sent me a wedding photo.

I can’t believe how much I learned from Evan’s coaching. I’m one of the participants who came in and did a lot of things the opposite of how Evan coaches us, fell right on my butt, dusted myself off, and then did it the right way and had these amazing results. If Evan helped me figure this out? He can do it for anyone.

Now, I’m in an amazing marriage with a really wonderful man. Easily the best and most healthy relationship of my life. And I’m happy. Really happy. Not euphoric, “This is too good to be true, when will the other shoe drop” happy, but truly content, peaceful and so excited about the future. Evan helped me to attract and keep an amazing man who makes me feel special and cherished and oh, by the way? He’s gorgeous. smart, funny and extremely successful – and that, my friend, is really just icing on the cake.

Now I feel as lucky and blessed in my relationship as I do in all the other areas of my life. I used to wonder how I managed to figure out everything in life but love. I thought the really amazing relationships were for someone else. Now I realize I just didn’t have the right mindset or tools. The adjustments I made were so minor, yet they had such an amazing impact on my life. Thank you, Evan, for everything.

April

As always, I don’t make these up.

As always, this can be yours.

As always, it’s up to you.

By this time tomorrow, your chance to get Love U for a reduced monthly price will be gone.

It’s now or never.

I sure hope it’s now.

See you inside Love U!

Your friend,

Evan

The Blessing (and Curse) of Being Happily Single

The Blessing (and Curse) of Being Happily Single

As Love U fills up with smart women who are ready for love now, I want to remind you of something important.

I know you’ve lost faith in men, dating, and long-term relationships.

I know how much it hurts.

I know that you’re already self-conscious about being without a man in your life.

I know that you’re completely sick of answering questions from well-meaning family members about why a catch like you is still single.

I know that as we enter the second half of 2016, you feel both more alone and more hopeless that your prospects will change in the next calendar year.

At the same time, I’m not assuming you’re waking up miserable every morning because you don’t have a boyfriend.

Absolutely not.

In fact, I’m assuming the opposite.

I’m assuming that you’re a generally happy woman with a strong sense of self-esteem, a great bunch of friends and a good job.

I’m assuming that you’ve filled up your life with things that give you meaning – pets, hobbies, travel, meditation, volunteering, nieces and nephews.

Finally, I’m assuming that you’d prefer to find a healthy, nurturing, fun, passionate relationship that lasts forever.

If I’m wrong – if you’d rather be alone than to have a healthy, nurturing, fun, passionate relationship – then Love U isn’t for you.

But if you do want that kind of relationship and haven’t yet taken advantage of this limited time offer, I have a feeling there’s something holding you back.

You’d rather be alone than to risk getting hurt again.

I understand. Life is fine right now. Men just complicate things. And if you don’t get emotionally involved with them, then nothing bad can happen to you.

I don’t judge you if you’d rather be alone than to risk getting hurt again.

How could I? You’ve already got your wish.

You’re alone, but at least you’re not getting hurt. It’s safe solitude. No risk, but also no reward.

Alas, there ARE some major rewards from being in love.

Have you forgotten what it’s like…

Having a man wake up next do you.
Having a man surprise you with a weekend away.
Having a man comfort you after a hard day at work.
Having a man make you laugh until your sides split.
Having a man provide you with love, support, and constant companionship.

And sex! Don’t forget about sex with a man you love!

This is what you miss when you decide to be alone rather than pursuing love.

If you don’t put yourself out there, if you don’t learn to understand men, if you just leave things the way they are now, nothing is going to change.

I promise you.

You’ll read my emails six months from now and your love life will be the same.

That’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with being single.

But if you want all the joys that come with true love, it’s time to bust out of your comfort zone. My former client Tina likes her new life – the one that has love in it.

Before I began coaching with Evan, I was feeling very alone in the dating process. I knew what I was doing wasn’t working. I was treating going on dates as if it were a business meeting and thought men should like me just because I am this strong, powerful, and successful woman. On some level I knew that I lacked being feminine, intimate, sexy, and easygoing. I was under the wrong impression thinking those qualities made me look weak. Boy, was I wrong!!

I wanted to understand how other women were getting all the online dates and I was not. I wanted to understand how I could be different in my online profile, and with initial phone conversations. I wondered what 40+ year-old men thought about and who better to hear it from but a male dating coach!

Thanks to Evan, I changed my thinking and behaviors towards men and began to realize they were just as scared sometimes as I was on the initial date. I’ve chosen to be cherished and allow myself to know that I was worthy of love. Now, I feel like when I go with the flow and stop trying to control any given situation, things fall into place. It’s so exhilarating!

I met my boyfriend of 7 months ago. Each day I get to know more and more about myself and learn who I need to be in this relationship. I knew that he was an awesome man through his actions. I was never left guessing or needing information. He was expressive in his communication and let me know he liked me as soon as the first date was over. I felt amazing. When I let go of my old beliefs about who I thought I was and or how I thought I was being perceived, life changed for me. It was not only the different, risky and uncomfortable actions that I took but the person I embraced and knew myself to be; a beautiful, sensual, tender loving woman.

All the best,

Tina

Different. Risky. Uncomfortable.

That’s what it takes to get the love you want.

Don’t be afraid.

Your best chance at love is only a click away, but only until tomorrow at midnight.

Life may be good as it is, but it’s better when you’re not alone.

Warmest wishes,

Evan

P.S. If you’re still on the fence, I just want to remind you that all the extra bonuses I’m including with this special offer will be gone after tomorrow:

• The live weekly coaching calls with me. (Remember, 26 weeks of coaching with me alone is worth $12,000)
• Access to the Love U Inner Circle community where you can interact with other smart, strong, successful women, all on the same journey with you.
• The free copy of my bestselling book, “Why He Disappeared.”
• And the new 50% off payment option I just made available, where you can lower your monthly investment to only $167/month for 12 months.

I’m closing enrollment to this special Love U offer tomorrow, June 12th, at midnight.

You want to find the man of your dreams and don’t want to waste another second.

Click here right now to understand men and find love.

This incredible opportunity ends tomorrow night!

This One Email Will Answer All Your Questions!

This One Email Will Answer All Your Questions

Maybe as I get older I’m becoming more self-reflective.

I watch my kids – now 3 and 5 – developing personalities, cultivating interests, making friends, growing up.

I want to keep them frozen in time.

Teach them everything I know without them getting hurt.

I know this is not possible. Instead, I do my best to appreciate what I have and make the most of my limited time with them.

And let’s face it: time is the most precious gift in the world and love is the world’s most precious commodity.

So how are you allocating your time these days?

How many hours per week do you spend at work?

How many hours per week do you spend commuting?

How many hours per week do you spend with people you love?

How many hours per week do you spend learning or growing?

How many hours per week do you spend in the pursuit of love?

Tally it up and you’ll see what I see every day.

Let’s face it: time is the most precious gift in the world and love is the world’s most precious commodity.

You know that connecting with others, learning and finding lasting love are the keys to your long-term happiness. But where do you spend all your time?

That’s right.

You spend the least amount of time doing the things that give you the most pleasure.

I’ll admit: I’m very lucky.

I’m my own boss. I work from home. I don’t work nights or weekends because being a good husband and father is more important than any career successes.

But I also know that this is rare. Sometimes your life gets a bit out of whack – where you lose sight of your priorities and you can’t seem to get things under control.

Well, today is your big chance.

Women from all over the world have been emailing me this week to learn more about Love U, my one-of-a-kind program helps you understand men and find love.

Since time is at a premium – and since I can’t conceivably write back emails to every woman who is curious about Love U – I have decided to answer them all here.

“I’m a busy woman with lots of previous obligations. How much time is Love U going to take me?”

The very point of Love U is to bring this world-class material into your hands in a fun, digestible fashion that does not require you to redo your schedule.

Now, I often compare the process of finding love with the process of losing weight. But there’s one big difference:

Losing weight is an arduous process. It never ends.

You watch what you put in your mouth each day for the rest of your life.

You exercise each day for the rest of your life.

Contrast that with Love U, in which one aha moment can change everything.

One two-and-a-half minute video can make a light bulb go on over your head, illuminating your path to the altar.

And that’s why – when my readers told me in a survey they were willing to give 2-3 hours to Love U every week – I got really excited.

I don’t need you to give me 2-3 hours.

To watch the videos, you need 30 minutes per week or 5 minutes a day.

You can knock it out all at once like watching a half-hour sitcom, or you can just look at the videos on your phone before you go to sleep.

Believe me, if you have time to brush your teeth, you have time to do Love U.

“I have some of your other books. Is this just the same material?

Not even close. My three products are Why He Disappeared, Believe in Love, and Finding the One Online. As of yet, I have no products for dating, understanding men, relationships, sex, commitment, communication, or compatibility. While I’m proud of my first three books, they are merely the tip of the iceberg for what you’ll learn in Love U.

“It’s just not the right time for me. I don’t think I’m in the right emotional place to think about dating.”

I completely understand how you feel. I’ve been there personally and I’ve coached thousands of women who were equally burned out on men, dating and relationships.

We definitely agree that there’s no one way to rebound from a break-up. There’s no set amount of time one should take a breather from men. There’s no one perfect way to get to the other side of your negativity and start your quest anew.

Just know that the first month of Love U is all about healing. “Why Bother Syndrome,” “Past Baggage,” “Confidence,” and “Take Action” are the first four weeks…

So it’s certainly not my place to tell you that you’re ready to date yet. You have to take care of yourself emotionally. But please remember two things:

1. Just because Love U is a six-month course doesn’t mean you have to use it all in six months. You can pace yourself as you see fit. Need to take a two-month breather? You can always go back to watch the videos later. You have LIFETIME access to this stuff.

2. This is the last chance you have to connect with me for any form of coaching this year. So you can wait until 2017 to say you’re healed if you want. The question is whether you need that much time to delay the inevitable and get back out there.

In my opinion, love is something that should never wait.

As John Lennon said, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” So sure, you can put off this incredible opportunity to attract and connect with a quality man. But why would you?

“I just don’t know if it’s worth the money.”

Really? Look at your credit card statement.

Take a look at what you spend money on.

Car. Gym. Hair. Gas. Makeup.

Shoes. Clothing. Gifts. Restaurants. Classes.

Travel. Gadgets. Antiques. Hobbies.

I’m sure we could go on, but if this is where your money is going, can you really say with a straight face that any of this is more important than LOVE?

Let’s look at it another way – pre-boyfriend and post-boyfriend.

Would you rather buy dinner for one or have a man who takes you out to dinner?

Would you rather spend thousands on home improvement or find a guy who is handy around the house?

Would you rather travel with a girlfriend or stay in a honeymoon suite?

When all is said and done, there is literally NOTHING more important than love.

And for the price of a small salad and a cup of coffee each day, I will answer your most pressing questions about dating, sex, men and relationships so that you will gain confidence, awareness, experience, motivation, perspective and success.

If you’d rather invest that same money in something else, that’s fine.

But don’t tell me that $333/month for 6 months is too much to spend on finding a spouse.

You spent $100,000 on a college education and you forgot everything you learned.

My area of expertise – self-esteem, love, and happiness – is far more important and will pay infinitely greater dividends in your future.

“Okay, Evan, it’s worth the money. I just don’t want to SPEND the money.”

That’s a little closer to the truth.

You deserve to have your true love by your side, making you happy every day.

And I completely get it:

You don’t want to spend money on something that seems unnecessary.

After all, millions of women find love without Love U.

Why should you have to invest in a course to find love?

Great question.

But I have a question to your question:

How many more years do you want to struggle with men?

How many more years do you want to be alone?

How many more years will you invest your time, energy and money in things that are comparatively frivolous – cars, vacations, furniture, fashion, beauty?

How many more years are you going to deny how much you want to be loved just because you’re afraid of failure?

Because to me, THAT’s the crux of it.

You’re not afraid of investing the money in a quality program like Love U.

You’re afraid of what happens if this doesn’t work.

You’re afraid of doing anything different – and you justify it by staying in the exact same place you are today. Low-stakes, low-rewards. Spending more time at work than on love, even though you know that love makes the world go ‘round.

So I am certainly not saying that Love U’s monthly cost is nothing.

I’m saying that when you look back in 30 years at how happy you were to have spent your life with one special man, you will certainly not remember the investment it took to get you there.

I am now married to a wonderful man that I met about 2 years ago on Match. I cannot overemphasize how important your guidance and advice was in finding the right person for me. I worked with you in different capacities over half a year I think. I tried Match, eHarmony, speed dating, blind dates, ItsJustLunch and went on over 80 dates with about 40 people. It was exhausting and disappointing. Really hard. The hardest thing I have done in my life apart from going through a divorce and then a failed engagement. I read lots of books on dating (for the first time in my late 30s) and spoke with girlfriends and family, but your sharp advice kept me focused and gave me invaluable perspective. I chose to believe you and followed your advice as I was lost without it – it gave me hope where I thought no hope existed.

At the end it happened exactly the way you predicted it. While I was struggling with the tedious, demanding, exhausting dating life, he was going through a divorce and recovering. One day the wife of his best friend signed him up for Match. I winked at him. He wrote me a thoughtful response. I was his second date from Match and it instantly clicked. We were married in September after a year of dating.

All I can say is THANK YOU. Keep doing what you are doing – you are so good at it. You were the wizard in my love story.
